June 7th, 2024 – Thrilled to share the successful implementation of our international collaboration program, ‘Kickstart Electronics and IoT,’ held on June 7th, 2024. Organized by IC DiDiK Club in collaboration with the Institute of Business Excellence (IBE) under the ‘Going Global Partnership’ program facilitated by the British Council Student Mobility Grant. This program takes place over 2 days, June 7 and 14. This two-day initiative aimed to fortify the relationship and support the MoU between Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and the University of Suffolk, with internal cooperation from IBE.
Aligned with the International Engineering Student Mega Carnival (ESMeC), this Day 1 program provided an opportunity for IC DiDiK Club to actively participate in the international endeavour. Engaging 5 students from the University of Suffolk, United Kingdom, alongside 23 IC DiDiK Club members and 2 lecturers, the program featured hands-on sessions on electronics and IoT, offering participants exposure to electronics engineering fundamentals through several activities and attractive games. Despite different study backgrounds, participants had the chance to learn and manipulate electronic components under expert guidance from Aiszzy Electronics Sdn. Bhd. By encouraging interdisciplinary exploration, the program aimed to broaden students’ understanding and inspire innovative thinking in line with current trends.
Reflecting on Day 2 of our Kickstart Electronics and IoT initiative, it was an enlightening experience! Collaborating with University of Suffolk students, IC Didik Club embarked on a meaningful visit to Daehan Rehabilitation Hospital Putrajaya. Our session focused on exploring the intersection of robotics, engineering, and healthcare, particularly in the management of neurological disorders such as stroke and spinal cord injuries. We had the privilege of observing comprehensive South Korean-style integrated rehabilitation methods in action, which was truly inspiring.
Later in the day, we continued our cultural exchange by visiting Masjid Putra in Putrajaya. This provided a wonderful opportunity to introduce our international colleagues to Malaysia’s rich Islamic architecture and its significance as a national landmark. The entire day was filled with learning, cultural appreciation, and impactful discussions. Looking forward to more collaborative ventures in innovation and education!
