We are proud to announce FSKM bagged first place in DOSM Virtual Datathon 2020 (DvD2020). FSKM is represented by team Futurist consists of Bachelor of Statistics students,  Mohamad Ameer Imran Bin Mohd Noor, Muhammad Afiq Bin Halek, Azwan Faiz Lim bin Muhammad Razwan Lim ,Nur Farah Najihah binti Salehin and Nur Aina Najihah binti Alia and supervised by Madam Sanizah and Dr Hasfazilah. Futurist project  “Malaysia Towards Ageing Place: Silver Tsunami or Golden Opportunity” brings home cash prize RM3000.They beat 57 competitors from 11 universities throughout Malaysia.

DvD2020 is organized by Department of Statistics Malaysia encourages data science community competing to create innovative and creative solutions in tandem to IR4.0. It brings together the brightest minds in the data science world in Malaysia to showcase their data analytics capabilities by developing thought-provoking business solutions.

Two other FSKM teams who called themselves Secret Scientist and CrazyWolf Mix also made it to top 10 finalists.Secret Scientist members are Erman Nazra, Haris Izat , Azwanee Sarah (all three are students of Bachelor of Science (Hons.) Statistics), Sarah Yasmeen and Ahmad Asyraf ( both are students of Bachelor of Science (Hons) Actuarial Science.)  Secret Scientist are being mentored by Madam Aida Wati Zainal Abidin.

 

Meanwhile, CarWolf Mix consists of Mohamad Ismeth Khan student of Master of Science in Applied Statistics, Nur Hidni Adriana  and Muhammad Shahrir Ridzuan students of Bachelor of Science (Hons.) Mathematics. They are being supervised by Madam Nur Huda Nabihan Md Shahri.
