Students of Bachelor Business Administration (Hons) Entrepreneurship from Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) organized a community service program named “Love Libraries” on 30th March 2019 at Raja Tun Uda Library, Shah Alam, Selangor.
The participants of this program were children who came to the Raja Tun Uda Library during the school holidays. The program aims was to strengthen the relationship between UiTM Selangor, Puncak Alam Campus with Raja Tun Uda Library, as well as the surrounding communities.
Besides that, this program provided a positive perspective in encouraging the community to go to the library which provided various interesting activities.
Another objective of the program was to improve the students’ communication and social skills with the community and to instill moral values among the students to be competitive in a positive way.
The program was from 8.00am until 5.00pm and divided into the morning and afternoon sessions. Many activities carried out during the event, such as exercises that involved children, dancing with kids, coloring contest, “Fox & Chicken” story-telling, spelling and lucky draw. The session ended with a photo session and the presentation of a token of appreciation to the library.
