KUALA LUMPUR, November 17, 2023 – The construction management students from the College of Built Environment (CBE) at UiTM Shah Alam have achieved commendable success through their active participation in BuildXpo 2023. This three-day event stands as a pivotal component of the International Construction Week (ICW) 2023 exhibition. While ICW 2023 primarily focuses on the conference aspect of the event, BuildXpo 2023 has emerged as a crucial platform for construction industry players, not only in Malaysia but globally, providing an opportunity to showcase and personally explore the latest trends, developments, and technologies within the construction sector. The event took place at MITEC, KL, a venue embodying the spirit of innovation, growth, and endless possibilities within the construction industry.
In response to an invitation from the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), the Builders Student Association exhibited eagerness in sending its student members, commonly known as Builders, to actively participate in the BuildXpo exhibition. The primary objective of organizing this exhibition visit was academically oriented, intending to expose construction students to cutting-edge technologies and the latest advancements in construction materials, thereby enriching their understanding of the construction industry. The overarching goals of this initiative were twofold: (i) to provide students with exposure to the International Construction Week exhibition organized by the CIDB industry, and (ii) to involve students in exhibitions organized by the CIDB industry at the international level, specifically within the construction field.
BuildXpo 2023 has attracted participants from across the globe, including countries such as China, Indonesia, Thailand, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and more. The event serves as a melting pot of international collaboration, fostering growth, partnerships, and exploration. Breaking down geographical boundaries, BuildXpo connects industry players on a global scale, making it a dynamic and integral part of shaping the future of the construction industry.
