23 July 2024 – College of Computing, Informatics and Mathematics (KPPIM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Telkom University, Indonesia have embarked on a collaborative teaching initiative, fostering a dynamic and enriching learning environment for students. This endeavour features a series of webinars with international guest speakers from Telkom University sharing their expertise on various mathematical topics. The initiative promotes the enhancing learning experience, future growth, and academic enrichment and acknowledging academic excellence.

The collaborative teaching sessions have significantly enhanced the learning experience for UiTM students. The international guest speakers bring diverse perspectives and in-depth knowledge on specialized topics, not only improving comprehension but also sparking deeper interest in the subjects discussed. These events give students with unique insights and methodologies, broadening their understanding and application of mathematical concepts. They bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, enabling students to grasp complex concepts more effectively.

The distinguished speakers from Telkom Universit are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Putu Harry Gunawan On Calculus: Infinite Series – Exploring Types of Series, Mr. Bambang Ari Wahyudi’s session on “Proving Method with Principle of Mathematical Induction” and Gia Septiana Wulandari’s webinar on “Mastering Linear Transformations: From Theory to Applications”. Their expertise and dedication have significantly enhanced the learning experience for UiTM students.

We also acknowledge the dedicated team members from UiTM’s School of Mathematical Sciences, including Dr. Amirah Mohamad Sahar, Siti Rahimah Binti Batcha, Norhidayah Binti Abdul Kadir, Norlenda Mohd Noor, Dr. Mathuri A/P Selvarajoo, Hanifah Sulaiman, Nurul ‘Azwa Kamarudin, Dr. Siti Salmah Yasiran, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Normi Abdul Hadi, Dr. Nur Syazwani Ghazali, Ts. Dr. Suhaila Abd Halim, Dr. Nur Izzati Hamdan, and Dr. Iskandar Shah Mohd Zawawi. Their efforts have been pivotal in organizing these impactful sessions and fostering a successful partnership with Telkom University.

Moving forward, UiTM and Telkom University plan to expand this initiative by incorporating collaborative teaching for several subjects in the upcoming semester. This expansion is  to enrich the academic experience for students further, providing them with a broader spectrum of knowledge and skills.
