Congratulations to AP Dr. Siti Maftuhah Damio, a Visiting Scholar with Yogyakarta State University, Indonesia

 

Congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Maftuhah Damio, a senior lecturer from the Department of Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL), Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Selangor. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Maftuhah has recently been appointed as a Visiting Scholar by the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Yogyakarta State University (UNY), Indonesia.

Embracing the scholarship of teaching and learning, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Maftuhah engages actively in lectures, tutorials, and research-related activities at the university. She currently teaches Sociolinguistics in Educational Context (ENG6230), a course offered by the Department of English Education, over a course of 16 weeks.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Maftuhah Damio holds a doctoral degree from the University of Nottingham (UK), a Master’s Degree from the Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, and the first degree from the University of Southampton (UK). The amalgamation of educational exposure from local and abroad has strengthened her outlook on educating her students. Her specialization is on the Teaching of English as a Second/ Foreign/ Other languages. Devoted to educating students of different levels of studies, she began her career as a secondary school teacher. The twelve years in school, teaching the lower and higher level has provided her with the grounding in her subsequent career in higher education.
