Mr Afzal Abd Rahim, the CEO of TIMEdotCOm was invited to touchbase with FBM students on the 3rd of April 2019.
The CEOTOUCHBASE@FBM is a programme that was created in the effort of moving from academia operating in isolation to the quadruple helix of academia, industry, government and local communities, it culminates in a partnership for incubation, development and commercialization of ideas between the faculty and Industry.
CEOTOUCHBASE@FBM program was created to bring together top local CEOs and industry players to the Faculty of Business and Management. CEO Touchbase@FBM serves as an engaging platform for sharing knowledge and experiences between academia and industry.
The 44 years old CEO in his own way steered the students mindset towards being different, how to market themselves, how to prepare themselves to enter the working world and how well they know their future employers (Industry Players). As funny and informal as he could be, Mr Afzal made a random video call to Vivy Yusof with the whole crowd in DK 200.
The talk was held at DK 200, PFI Building , Faculty of Business and Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA attended by 15 academic staff and 180 students. The touch base session was rather different and engaging as “Bro Afzal” was very lively and student friendly. This session was very relevant in striving to educate the students about choosing their future employers and for the students to market themselves. The students left the programme feeling enlighten and full of spirit to improve themselves. Based on the feedback, the students are very happy to attend this session and was hoping to attend the future CEOTOUCHBASE@FBM with other CEOs in the future.
