27th June 2019 – About 40 ranking champions attended the workshop on 27th June 2019 at Auditorium PTAR 2, UiTM, Shah Alam from 8.30 am to 5 pm. It was also very eventful to have the Director of Centre for Strategic Planning & Information (CSPI), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Taufek Abdul Rahman and CSPI officials to attend the event.
The workshop was launched by the Assistant Vice Chancellor of InQKA, Professor Dr. Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor who highlighted the power of data analytic as a strategy to move forward. Besides sharing information and her experience during the QS Edudata Summit 2019 which was held recently in London, she discussed some selected strategies of success stories of other international universities around the world in terms of research and international collaboration.
Prof Dr.Roziah highlighted on ways RCs can bring up the ranking status of the university. The importance of “collaboration strategies, high quality data and linking data sources are critical for the way forward”, she said.
The morning session saw the Head of Achievement and Rating Unit, InQKA, Ir. Dr. Amirul Abd Rashid giving an update on current status and strategic directions of InQKA on ranking matters. He also discussed on strategies to improve UiTM ranking. He welcomed the newly appointed RCs and thanked the senior RCs for their support and cooperation.
During the afternoon session, the Coordinator of Achievement and Rating Unit, InQKA, Sr. Dr. Norazian Mohamad Yusuwan held a walk-through session on subject indicators & simulation results based on QS ranking for UiTM.
It was an effective workshop as many of the newly appointed RCs were exposed to their roles and responsibilities and got acquainted with ranking indicators,simulation and ranking information.
