ARAU, June 16, 2022- The Academy of Language Studies, UiTM Cawangan Perlis has successfully organized its second University Social Responsibility (USR) Programme for 2022 by holding the Presenting Your Ideas Effectively Workshop on Thursday.

The three speakers who presented in the one-hour workshop were lecturers from The Academy of Language Studies, UiTM Cawangan Perlis. They were: Dr. Razlina Razali, Ms. Fazmawati Zakaria, and Ms. Yang Salehah Abdullah Sani.

Dr. Razlina shared her tips about ‘Styles and Content’, followed by Ms. Fazmawati as the second speaker, who briefly explained ‘The Importance of Using Language’ and handling a “Question and Answers” session when presenting your ideas. Both speakers shared valuable tips with participants, especially on delivering an engaging presentation. The last speaker of the day was Ms. Yang Salehah Abdullah Sani, who shared her tips on ‘How to Record Your Presentation’ using Microsoft PowerPoint, which was very helpful to everyone.

The Presenting Your Ideas Effectively Workshop received a warm response. It was attended by approximately 160 participants consisting of UiTM and non-UiTM staff and students, including from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, UniKL MSI, Technological University, Myanmar, and Royal Unversity of Bhutan.

This workshop was initiated by the Head of Learning Centre, Dr. Latisha Asmaak Shafie, with its main objective to help educators and students handle their presentations effectively in the future. This free workshop managed to fulfill its social responsibility for knowledge sharing with the community.
