The delegation of academic mission of Akademi Pengajian Bahasa, UiTM to Beijing on 5-8th March 2019, led by the Dean of Akademi Pengajian Bahasa, Associate Professor Dr. Haji Ahmad Mazli Muhammad, had visited three universities in China.
The universities visited were the Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), the Communication University of China (CUC) and the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE). MoU and MoA discussions, and future research collaborations were held during the visits to the universities.
Upon arrival to China, Dr Ahmad Mazli Muhammad and his delegation had first met with Malaysian Education Director in Beijing, Encik Abdul Aziz How Abdullah.
During the visit to BFSU, the APB delegation had a discussion to hold the 2nd Malay Language Development Round Table meeting with BFSU.
Later at the CUC, APB representatives held discussion with the School of International Studies, to collaborate in Summer Camp programs, students and lecturers’ mobility programs and smart partners as curriculum counselors.
Bilateral discussions were also held with the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) to organise joint venture between Asian and European Language Department, APB and UIBE which was represented by Dr Norhayuza Mohamad.
The academic mission was also accompanied by Deputy Dean of Research, Linkages, Industry, Community & Alumni, Dr. Noor Ahnis Othman, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Mohamad Hassan Awang Boon, and APB lecturers Tengku Azeezeen TengkuShamsudden and Anisah Tan.
Visits to these universities are in line with the goals of global academic and global mobility goals outlined by the Dean of Akademi Pengajian Bahasa.
