UiTM and Kwasa Land Sign MoU to Strengthen University-Industry Collaboration

SHAH ALAM, 22 May 2026 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd have formalised a strategic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing collaboration in academic development, research, industry engagement, and community initiatives. The signing ceremony, held at the Faculty of Built Environment, UiTM Shah Alam, was witnessed by Prof. Ts. Dr. Hjh Emma Marinie Ahmad Zawawi, Dean of the Faculty of Built Environment, UiTM, and Pn Nor Hazqiah Che Idris, Senior General Manager, Corporate Service of Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd.

Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd, represented by its Managing Director, Datuk Adenan Md Yusof, expressed confidence that the collaboration would contribute positively towards talent development, sustainable urban initiatives, and stronger industry-academia networking. As the master developer of the Kwasa Damansara township in Selangor, Kwasa Land anticipates that this synergy will significantly bolster community sustainability efforts and create a robust pipeline for future talent.

Through this partnership, UiTM students and academic staff will gain invaluable access to internship placements, industrial exposure, collaborative research projects, professional talks, industry sharing sessions, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes. The initiative is specifically designed to provide greater exposure to modern industry practices and real-world project environments, with a particular focus on construction technology and the sustainable built environment.

By bridging the gap between academia and the corporate sector, the collaboration will support comprehensive knowledge transfer activities and strengthen university-industry networking.
