Penang, 11 November 2025 — The Penang International Science Fair (PISF) 2025 brought together innovation and collaboration at the SPICE Arena, where 19 members of the UiTM Penang Robotics Club — comprising four lecturers and fifteen students — proudly volunteered in partnership with NI (now part of Emerson) on the 8–9 November 2025.
This exclusive collaboration highlights the strong and growing relationship between UiTM Penang and NI, reinforcing UiTM’s commitment to producing industry-ready graduates through hands-on engagement and experiential learning.
At NI’s interactive booth, themed “Come Discover the Hidden World of Signals with NI DAQ Devices,” UiTM student volunteers guided visitors through a series of engaging STEM activities. Demonstrations such as myBridge, myPaint, myMusic, and myLock — developed using NI’s LabVIEW and myDAQ platforms — introduced participants, from primary to secondary school levels, to fundamental engineering and data acquisition concepts in an accessible and enjoyable way.

Throughout the two-day event, UiTM volunteers supported NI’s outreach team by managing the booth, facilitating demonstrations, and interacting with hundreds of visitors. Their involvement provided valuable exposure to STEM communication, public engagement, and technology demonstration — essential skills that complement classroom learning.
Pn. Azian Wahab, Chief Community Impact and STEM at NI (now part of Emerson), praised the collaboration:
“It was inspiring to see UiTM Penang students contributing their knowledge, energy, and creativity to such a large-scale public science event. Their professionalism and enthusiasm truly exemplify the spirit of industry-academia collaboration, empowering the next generation of engineers to be confident, innovative, and community-driven.”
The Penang International Science Fair remains one of Malaysia’s largest community-driven science events, celebrating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and inspiring future innovators.
Through this partnership, UiTM Penang reaffirms its dedication to fostering meaningful industry collaborations, promoting STEM awareness, and shaping the next generation of engineering leaders.
