Raub, Pahang – August 20, 2025 – Lecturers from the Academy of Language Studies, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Raub Pahang Branch, successfully organized a University Social Responsibility (USR) initiative titled Empowering Interpersonal Skills. The program was held at Sekolah Menengah Agama Al Ulum Addiniah Dong, Raub, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This initiative was designed to support the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 4): Quality Education, by enhancing students’ interpersonal competencies, critical thinking, and digital literacy. A total of 30 students aged between 14 and 16 participated in the program, which aimed to improve their ability to communicate effectively and present ideas using modern online tools.

The program began with a registration and photography session, followed by a briefing and icebreaker activities to foster engagement. Students then took part in a quiz to assess their initial understanding. In the second session, lecturers introduced various online applications for creating impactful visual presentations. The final session required students to deliver concise presentations based on the content they had developed.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Students reported increased confidence in their presentation skills and a deeper understanding of digital tools. Many expressed interest in future programs and shared aspirations to pursue tertiary education.

By sharing their expertise, UiTM lecturers not only contributed to the local community but also strengthened the university’s role in promoting educational excellence and meaningful partnerships, in line with SDG 17.
