Jengka, 26 May 2025 – A University Social Responsibility programme was organised by the lecturers from Academy of Language Studies, UiTM Jengka Pahang Branch with the attendance of school students from Sekolah Menengah Jengka 12, Pahang. The programme was conducted at the school on Monday, 19th May 2025, spanned for about five and a half hours, starting from 7:30 a.m. and concluding at 1:00 p.m.
Aligned with the fourth pillar of Sustainable Development Goals- Quality Education, the programme aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and creativity in utilising online applications for more effective presentations, while also fostering greater self-confidence among participants.
The programme began with an ice breaking session for the students, followed by a short lecture by the lecturers on how to use various online applications to produce visual presentations. In the second session, they were required to deliver brief presentations of the content based on the content they had developed.
A total of 30 16- and 17-year-old students participated in the programme. The feedback received from the participants was overwhelmingly positive. They reported that the programme was beneficial for them in enhancing their knowledge of various online applications in improving the visual appeal of their presentations. Additionally, they were grateful to learn about tips and tricks from the lecturers in conducting effective presentations in class. They also expressed their hope that similar programmes will be conducted more frequently at their school.
